We only do floral preservation for a small select number of clients in the United States each year. Due to the volume of requests for our wedding bouquet preservation services, we ask that potential clients schedule an appointment for our services. In order to maintain our quality focus, we only accept 4 clients a week, meaning that space for new clients is very limited and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Brides are some of our most frequent clients, and because there are over 2 million weddings in the United States annually, many brides schedule their appointments up to four months in advance to ensure that they receive our wedding floral preservation services.
Once a client has made the decision to preserve their flowers, they must "reserve the date" with a $350 deposit. This deposit ensures our services, and will go toward the final price of the floral preservation and display. Queen & i takes reservations and deposits over the telephone, and we accept Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover. If you wish to pay with cash or a check, we can schedule an appointment to receive the deposit in person or mailed to us.
Though some clients make reservations for their wedding floral preservation on shorter notice, Queen & i cannot guarantee slot availability without a reservation and processed deposit. To ensure availability of services, reserve your date as soon as you are certain you want to preserve your flowers. Due to the nature of our business, we might not be able to accept clients that do not pre-reserve our wedding bouquet preservation services.
In the "reserve the date" process, Queen & i will determine the best method for obtaining the flowers intended for the floral preservation. This step is one of the most crucial points in preserving flowers. The sooner we receive the flowers, the better the final results will be.
Fresh flowers make the best preserved flowers, so we arrange this to occur in one of a few ways:
DC Metro area clients may have the flowers dropped off at our shop by a friend or family member, or we can pick them up. If we pick up the flowers, there is a service fee of $50, plus a per-mile charge of $0.50 Mileage is calculated round-trip, starting from and ending at our studio.
If you live outside Washington DC Metro area, we will send an email out with shipping instructions to take to the UPS store as well as a prepaid mailing label. The only thing you need to do is drop your flowers off at your locale UPS store and that’s it!. Learn more about shipping flowers to us.
